Montblanc Donation Pen collection is a tribute to world-renowned classical musicians of the past decades. The Donation Pen supports carefully selected cultural projects with a contribution of 20 euros for a fountain pen and 10 euros for a ballpoint or rollerball. This year's edition pays tribute to Frédéric Chopin, the Polish composer and piano virtuoso. In tribute to his admiration for the piano, the platinum-coated clip is shaped like a piano hammer. The inkwell of this special edition, known for his famous "La Note Bleue", is in blue. The cap ring depicts the notes of Chopin's first musical composition, "Nocturne in B flat minor, Op. 9, No. 1", which was published in 1832. The cap and barrel are made of black precious resin in combination with platinum-coated fittings. The special gift box also includes a small notepad decorated with the sheet music of his famous nocturne. The handmade Au 585 nib made of solid two-tone gold features a portrait of Frédéric Chopin.
