Montblanc Meisterstück X Olympic Heritage Chamonix 1924 Doué Ballpoint Pen

To celebrate the centenary of the Meisterstück in 2024, Montblanc is paying tribute to the origins of this iconic writing instrument with a collection inspired by the spirit of the 1924 Chamonix Olympic Games. Coincidentally, 1924 was the year the brand launched the writing instrument that has become one of its most sought-after masterpieces, and that same year, Chamonix hosted the first Winter Olympic Games at the foot of Mont Blanc. Montblanc and the 1924 Chamonix Olympic Games essentially embody, together with master craftsmen and sporting heroes, the pursuit of the highest human achievement. The Solitaire edition is made of a platinum-plated cap and barrel, engraved with the mountain landscape of the Chamonix valley. The Olympic rings are part of the Olympic heritage logo engraved on the top ring of the cap, with a surrounding wreath of leaves reminiscent of those awarded as the highest distinction to winners at the ancient Olympic Games. The cap itself is engraved with the words “Olympic Games Chamonix 1924” in a frame inspired by the cover of the official report from the games. The anniversary cap’s ring features both “1924” and “2024”, symbolising the significance of both years. The edition is crowned by the Montblanc emblem on the top of the cap, set in precious coral resin, the signature color of the Montblanc brand.
