Absolute reliability, excellent workmanship and high functionality have characterised Ternos Professional watches for years. Professional divers have to rely on them 100%. In addition, suggestions from practical use regarding comfort and handling are incorporated into the product development. Since 2024, the symbol of the maritime brand, the stylised compass rose, has been taking centre stage; it is reflected in the striking design of the hands and guarantees perfect orientation – even in adverse lighting conditions.
The “star” in the DAVOSA logo is actually a stylized compass rose, a historical nautical symbol that protected all who wore it to return home safely on the right path. This geometric shape, with two sides of equal length, forms the basis of the characteristic hand design of the new DAVOSA Ternos Professional 68h Automatic watch.
Good legibility is a fundamental safety criterion for divers. To ensure this even in poor visibility, the hands and numerals on the dial and the high-tech ceramic bezel are generously highlighted with the luminous material SuperLumiNova© BGW9. The scratch-resistant, unidirectional high-tech ceramic bezel has a minute scale covering a full 360°, thus meeting another specification of the current standard for divers' watches.
Another highlight of this model is the sophisticated TriaLink stainless steel metal bracelet. The individually screwed solid links of the bracelet end on both sides with a folding clasp developed by DAVOSA , which with two side buttons and the WaveSlide fine adjustment inside the clasp allows for convenient adjustment - without any additional tools.
The colored bezel insert is made of high-tech ceramic and is extremely scratch-resistant with a hardness (Vickers) of 1250 HV. It is also heat and corrosion resistant and has a high-gloss finish for a smooth feel.
The new Ternos Professional also marks the beginning of a collaboration with La Joux-Perret from the Swiss Jura, a manufacturer known for its fine complications. The base caliber for the new caliber DAV3121 is supplied by the same movement manufacturer. In addition to the Elaboré-level precision for which all DAVOSA watches are renowned, they feature a 68-hour power reserve, powered exclusively by the movement of the wrist.
