Montblanc Meisterstück Around the World in 80 Days Solitaire LeGrand Fountain pen

Meisterstück Around the World in 80 Days collection is inspired by Jules Verne's famous adventure novel. The Solitaire LeGrand fountain pen in black stained wood draws on the second leg of the journey from Bombay to Yokohama. The wood is chosen as a tribute to when Mr. Foggs rescues Princess Aouda. The main characters in this part of the adventure travel on a majestic elephant, which is depicted in a cartouche on the cap. The cap and barrel are engraved with a pattern with Indian, Chinese and Japanese inspirations. The clip features a red lacquered diamond emblem and the cone is engraved with a pattern that represents Mr. Foggs' bet that he would complete the journey in 80 days. The length of the journey is stamped on the top of the cap, 25 days from Bombay to Yokohama and 80 days in total. The writing instrument is topped with a handmade 18-carat gold nib decorated with a hot air balloon with the numbers 20/10 and 14/11: Mr. Foggs departs from Mumbai on October 20 at 8:00 PM and from Yokohama on November 14 at 6:00 PM.
