The Lumis version of the DAVOSA Argonautic has been part of the popular Argonautic range since 2013. When first launched, the model attracted much interest at Baselworld, the watch trade fair that draws visitors from the entire watch world each year, thanks to borosilicate glass tubes filled with a mix of gaseous tritium that are positioned on the hands and hour markings. These ensure sustained luminosity without any drop in intensity – even in complete darkness, without an external energy source. This makes the Lumis models particularly suited for use in very poor visibility, both in and above water. The new Argonautic Lumis T25 model also possesses this characteristic feature.

The high-performance material BEYOND STEEL® from DAVOSA has super-class material properties. It is almost as hard as diamond, is corrosion-resistant and withstands the highest heat and is rust and nickel-free. BEYOND STEEL® is practically indestructible. Due to its outstanding properties, DAVOSA has created the optimal material for the bezel inlay of the new DAVOSA Argonautic BGBS.

So-called tritium gas light sources, or GTLS (Gaseous Tritium Light Sources), are located on the numerals and hands of the Argonautic Lumis. They are not only particularly safe, they also guarantee the watch wearer at least fifteen years of constant luminosity - without external energy supply. Compared to the previous DAVOSA model, the current light sources are 66% more powerful. In addition, they glow green in the dark, a colour that is particularly well perceived by the human eye under poor lighting conditions.

The manual helium safety valve also ensures controlled pressure equalisation for the watch when surfacing. The valve at the 10 o'clock position is clearly recognisable by the helium sign on the crown mirror.
