Since its launch in 1924, Montblanc ’s Meisterstück has been widely regarded as the quintessence of a fine writing instrument, symbolising refined taste and a bold extension of oneself. Whether used to write love letters or to sign historical documents, Meisterstück has left an indelible mark on the pages of history. To celebrate this milestone, Montblanc has delved deep into its archives to create the Origin collection, which pays tribute to the brand’s rich history and heritage. Drawing inspiration from early designs found in our archives, as well as design elements that appeared on the first Meisterstück editions, the collection captures the spirit of the founders and injects a modern twist. The intricate pattern on the gold cap, coated in green lacquer, refers to an unreleased design that had been hidden for decades, giving Montblanc the opportunity to finally present this long-forgotten design reminiscent of the Art Deco period. The clasp is a tribute to the early clasp shapes found on some of the first Meisterstück writing instruments, and evokes a sense of nostalgia. Upon closer inspection, the original Meisterstück logo can be discovered, which has adorned the cap as a symbol of high quality since its inception. This anniversary edition is crowned by a massive gold nib, on which the number 100 stands proudly, along with the years 1924 and 2024. Here’s to another 100 years of Meisterstück excellence!
