Absolute reliability, excellent workmanship and high functionality have characterised the Ternos Professional for years. Professional divers must be able to rely on this 100%. Furthermore, suggestions from practical use regarding comfort and operation are incorporated into product development. Since 2024, the maritime brand symbol, the stylised compass rose, has taken centre stage; it is reflected in the striking hand design and guarantees perfect orientation - even in adverse lighting conditions.
The star in the DAVOSA brand logo is actually a stylised compass rose, a historic maritime symbol that protected all those who wore it in order to return home safely on the right path. This geometric shape, with two sides of equal length, forms the basis of the characteristic hand design of the new DAVOSA Ternos Professional 68h Automatic.
Good legibility is an essential safety criterion for divers. To ensure this even in poor visibility conditions, both the striking hands and the numerals on the dial and the high-tech ceramic bezel are generously accentuated with SuperLumiNova© BGW9 luminous material. The scratch-resistant, unidirectional high-tech ceramic bezel has a minute scale covering the entire 360° and thus fulfils a further specification of the current diving watch standard.
Another highlight of this model is the redesigned TriaLink stainless steel metal bracelet. The individually screwed solid bracelet links end on both sides in a folding clasp newly developed by DAVOSA, which with two side pushers and a WaveSlide fine adjustment inside the clasp enables convenient adjustment - without any additional tools.
The coloured bezel insert is made of high-tech ceramic and is extremely scratch-resistant with a hardness (according to Vickers) of 1250 HV. It is also resistant to heat and corrosion and has a high-gloss polish for a fine feel.
The new Ternos Professional also marks the start of a collaboration with La Joux-Perret from the Swiss Jura, a manufacturer renowned for its fine complications. The base calibre for the new DAV3121 calibre is supplied by the same movement manufacturer. In addition to the Elaboré-level accuracy for which all DAVOSA watches are renowned, it scores with a 68-hour power reserve driven solely by the movement of the wrist.
